Karen Aqua’s work featured at SOS Miller Street this Weekend Only
Animator Karen Aqua was a long-time and much beloved presence at Miller Street Studios until her untimely passing in 2011. Her husband, musician Ken Field, has maintained a small space in the studio space she shared for many years with clay artist Jeanée Redmond, where a treasure trove of her framed artwork and other materials were kept.
Ken will be moving out of that space shortly, but this coming weekend, Sat/Sun 4/30 & 5/1, from noon-6p, he will be showing much of it on the walls surrounding the first floor freight elevator, and he would love to see fans of Karen's wonderful creations there, and to find great & loving homes for her work.
Pictured are some large pastels she created relating to her animated film "Twist of Fate". There will also be quite a number of much smaller framed pieces, including artwork from her other films.
